Gymnasts from five high schools gathered in Enumclaw the evening of Jan. 16, competing for team and individual honors.

At the conclusion of all four events at Peak Gymnastics, it was the Auburn Trojans leading the way with a 143.625 point total. White River was just a step behind at 143.3 and was followed by Kentridge with 136.6, Enumclaw at 132.525, and Todd Beamer, 133.275.

White River turns out with Enumclaw but is scored separately.

Individually, a pair of White River Hornets topped the leader board. Erin McGinnes took all-around honors with a combined score of 35.4 and was pushed by second-place finisher Chylye Schillen at 35.325. White River had a third gymnast placing in the top eight, as Annelyse Anderson finished with 28.8 to place seventh.

To earn all-around honors, McGinnes won both the vault and bars, placed second on the beam and was fifth in the floor exercise. Schillen won the beam and floor and was second in vault and bars.

Enumclaw High’s best all-around finisher was Katie Hardman, who was eighth with a total of 28.35. She was ninth on the beam, 11th on bars and 14th in both the vault and floor.
