Good Morning Hornets. This is your mid week sports report. Congratulations to the boys water polo team for closing out their season with a win against Stadium on Tuesday 8-7. Congratulations to the Girls soccer team who defeated Hazen on Tuesday in a shootout to advance to the next round of the District Tournament vs Bonney Lake tonight at 7:30 at Sunset Chevrolet Stadium in Sumner. A huge congratulations to the girls cross country team who returned home on Saturday as Champions of the West Central District Tournament held on a blustery day at American Lake. The following runners advanced to State this weekend in Pasco: Hunter Storm, Samantha Engebretsen, Aleea Gwerder, Payton Roberson, Shelby Walker, Emmie Neu, Bryn Zeman-Witzel along with three boys who qualified as individuals: Eric Hamel, Teagan Eldridge, and Bryce Johnson. Today we will conduct our tradition of sending off our Athletes to Districts and State with our Hornet Playoff Parade. The Parade will begin at 2:20. The following varsity teams who have qualified for districts or state that will be held in the next 2 weeks need to report to the 1000 building by 2:15 today. Volleyball, Tennis, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Girls Swim and Dive, and Soccer. Have a great Hornet day!
